Aaron Harrison is a native of Dayton, Ohio who currently lives in the Columbus, Ohio area. Shortly after moving to Columbus, Aaron was compelled by the groundbreaking originality of a fashion scene that he had not originally experienced prior.

 

As he came in contact with the movement of his new city he began to cross-reference his own experiences of customizing his own clothing with custom stitching, zippers, buttons, patches and pennants while he was in school with the fashion trends of his new environment. This was a new experience for him to be in such a fashionable setting especially since much of his inspiration came from what he would see in magazines ads prior to that.

 

He is quoted in saying “I always had a thing for customizing clothes. It was my parents who taught me how to use my hands to create, both of them were heavy into the D.I.Y. movement. My father did wood crafting and my mother was an advist "Ms. Fixit" when it came to sewing and clothing repair. The two combined, imparted into my creative side thereby driving me down various avenues of thinking. After that, if there was anything that I could not do, the grace of God would link to those that could carry out my vision. Thus, inspiring me towards a name like Bodykit which is the shadow of a scripture that talks about putting on the whole armor (clothing) of God”.

Many of our upcyled pieces have been donated by stores and patrons alike so that we may display our green side!
